Irene Agnew
President and Chief Executive Officer

Irene Agnew is founder and President of Agnew Tech-II, dba Agnew Multilingual, with more than 30 years experience in the translation field. Prior to establishing Agnew Tech-II in 1986, she was a consultant for Bunker Ramo Corporation on machine translation research and at the height of cold war translated radio broadcasts from USSR for the US State Departments’ Foreign Broadcast Information Service.

She was the chief translator for Rand Corporation’s publication, "Soviet Cybernetics Review," wrote a monthly column, "Russian Press Report on Soviet Science," for the Science Digest, and designed and taught technical Russian courses for engineers at Rockwell International. She was born in Harbin, China, of Russian heritage, educated in China, Japan and the University of California.

Irene Agnew is a founding member of the National Association of Women Business Owners, Ventura County, and a recipient of the Trailblazer of the Year award in 2001. She is a member of the American Translators Association, and is International Chair of Rotary Club of Conejo Valley.

Richard Sirott
Controller

Richard Sirott has been with Agnew since its establishment in 1986, and is involved in all financial aspects of the business. He also plays a major role at Agnew in consulting on all financial and banking regulations as these apply to the related projects.

Silvia Scally
Vice President, Strategic Customer Relationship

Silvia Scally manages customer relations and the organization, coordination and communications between different departments of Agnew Multilingual.

Previously Mrs. Scally worked for S.C.Johnson & Son of Racine, Wisconsin USA based in Argentina, where she acted as liason between Senior Bank representatives and company executives. Mrs. Scally is presently Chair for the U.S. California Cup, an international field hockey tournament.

Mrs. Scally completed her education in Argentina and earned the University of Cambridge certification. Mrs. Scally is fluent in both English and Spanish, and has knowledge of French and German.

Ruikun Jia
Vice President, Global Production

Ruikun Jia was born and raised in Beijing, China and is a key player in Agnew’s management team. Ruikun is fluent in Chinese, holds a B.A. in French and TV-Film Arts from Peking University and a Master in Arts from U.C. Davis. Prior to joining Agnew, she worked in China as a Producer and Director for “Paris Sensation”, a TV show that introduces French culture and the Francophone world to Chinese audiences. Her multilingual background endows her with the capacity to work on culturally sensitive projects with confidence.

Maria Paredes
Manager, Latin American Projects

Maria Paredes joined Agnew in February 2009 as Senior Spanish Language Editor and Project Manager. She is responsible for the linguistic and cultural quality of Spanish language translation, maintaining translation memory for key clients, and consulting on Latin American markets. Maria holds an MA Degree in Spanish Translations from Kent State University, a Licentiate's and BA degrees in Spanish translation from Ricardo Palma University, Lima, Peru.  Prior to joining Agnew, Maria was employed by ThinPrint, Inc. and Harville Migrant Health Clinic.
