Success! Simultaneous Interpretation
On June 17th, 2016, Agnew Multilingual provided simultaneous interpretation for the 350 attendees of the Select LA Investment Summit. The event was hosted by the Los Angeles Economic Development Council and the World Trade Center Los Angeles.
Recap of Interpretation
The Select LA Investment Summit provided an opportunity for international investors to meet with local experts and leaders regarding economic development in the Southern California region. Agnew’s team provided flawless Mandarin interpretation for panel discussions and report presentations, with topics including:
• Real estate deal structuring
• Capital flow to infrastructure
• Foreign direct investment
• Economic development and outlook
The one-day event featured a keynote speech by Los Angeles Mayor, Eric Garcetti. Touching on common themes of public interest and regional economic strength, Mayor Garcetti encouraged foreign investment and championed the benefits of doing business in Southern California. Mayor Garcetti’s speech, and many of the presentation materials were not available prior to the event but this was not an issue according to project manager, Josh Bolton,
